Vernon Armament LLC – Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) Transfers
Effective Date: January 20, 2026

These Terms apply to all firearm transfer services conducted by Vernon Armament LLC, a Federal Firearms Licensee operating in the State of Wisconsin, in accordance with 18 U.S.C. § 921 et seq. and 27 CFR Part 478. By accessing this website, requesting, or completing a firearm transfer on or after the Effective Date, the transferee (“Customer”) agrees to all terms below.

1. Services & Regulatory Compliance

Vernon Armament LLC conducts firearm transfer services only as required by federal law, Wisconsin law, and ATF regulations, including receipt, recordkeeping, background check processing, and lawful transfer to eligible persons. No legal advice, firearms training, or representations regarding use are provided.

2. Transferee Certification & ATF Form 4473 Acknowledgment

The Customer certifies and acknowledges that:

They are the actual transferee/buyer and are not acquiring the firearm on behalf of another person
They are not prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under federal or Wisconsin law
All information provided, including information on ATF Form 4473, is true, correct, and complete

The Customer further acknowledges that:

ATF Form 4473 must be completed personally and accurately, in accordance with ATF instructions
Any false statement or misrepresentation on ATF Form 4473 is a federal felony
No firearm will be transferred unless the background check results in a NICS “Proceed” or other lawful transfer authorization

Vernon Armament LLC reserves the right to refuse, delay, or deny any transfer in accordance with applicable law.

3. Wisconsin Handgun Purchase Acknowledgment (Handguns Only – If Applicable)

For handgun transfers, the Customer acknowledges and certifies that:

They are 21 years of age or older
They are legally eligible under Wisconsin and federal law to purchase and possess a handgun
They understand that Wisconsin does not require a handgun purchase permit, but federal background check requirements still apply
They are a Wisconsin resident, or otherwise legally eligible to receive a handgun from a Wisconsin FFL under federal law

This section applies only to handgun transfers and does not apply to long guns.

4. Transfer Completion & Responsibility

A firearm transfer is complete only after all legal requirements have been satisfied and the firearm is physically delivered to the Customer. Upon lawful transfer and release of the firearm, the Customer assumes full and exclusive responsibility for ownership, possession, transportation, storage, use, and legal compliance. Vernon Armament LLC retains no control or responsibility for the firearm after transfer.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vernon Armament LLC is not liable for any injury, death, loss, damage, criminal act, or civil claim arising from the use, misuse, handling, storage, transportation, or modification of any firearm after lawful transfer, whether caused by the Customer or any third party.

6. Indemnification

The Customer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Vernon Armament LLC, its owners, and employees from all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from the Customer’s possession or use of any transferred firearm or violation of law.

7. No Warranty

All firearms are transferred “AS IS” and “AS RECEIVED.” Vernon Armament LLC makes no express or implied warranties, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Storage & Unclaimed Firearms

Firearms not claimed within 10 days after transfer approval may be subject to storage fees or other lawful disposition in accordance with federal and Wisconsin law. The Customer remains responsible for all applicable fees.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Wisconsin law and applicable federal law. Any legal action shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within the State of Wisconsin.

10. Acceptance

Use of this website and/or completion of a firearm transfer through Vernon Armament LLC constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
